Griswold 2000H 1" Normally Closed Irrigation Valve
The Griswold 2000H is a heavy-duty, 1-inch normally-closed solenoid diaphragm valve engineered for irrigation, reclaimed-water, and general-purpose master-valve applications. Designed for demanding field conditions, the 2000 series resists sludge, silt and algae with a self-cleaning control port that minimizes maintenance. The valve offers controlled, slow opening and closing to eliminate water hammer, and its serviceable diaphragm assembly permits in-place repairs without removing the valve body.
- Operating range: 2 to 300 PSI operating pressure; series flow capability from 0.01 to 3000 gpm for a wide range of system sizes; pressure accuracy ±5%.
- Materials & connections: Durable cast iron body with bronze internal components. Standard 1" female pipe thread (FIPT/NPT) end connections; BSPT threads available as an option.
- Electrical: Wide coil voltage range 17–40 VAC to accommodate field controllers; low current draw of 0.40 A at 24 VAC; watertight epoxy-molded solenoid coil for long life.
- Design benefits: Self-cleaning diaphragm and guided stainless-steel stem prevent clogging and chatter. The valve will throttle against flow, is slow-closing to prevent surge, and is completely serviceable in-line.
- Options & sizing: Optional epoxy fused coatings and a purple handle for reclaimed-water identification. The 1" 2000H nominal dimensions are A 4.25", B 2.50", C 4.50", D 4.00" with approximate ship weight 7.75 lbs; consult datasheet for Cv and pressure-loss charts.
For specification-grade projects, commercial irrigation systems, and pump-station master valves, the Griswold 2000H combines rugged materials, wide electrical compatibility, and service-friendly design.
