The Baseline SubStation (BL-SUBSTN) is a compact, field-mounted expansion module that wirelessly extends the reach of a Baseline BaseStation 3200 controller. Designed for retrofit and complex sites, the SubStation eliminates long trench runs by adding remotely located zones and two‑wire devices where wiring is difficult or costly. Requires a Baseline BaseStation 3200 controller.

Zone and device capacity: Supports up to 100 zones in any mix of two‑wire and conventional wiring; normally open or normally closed master valves and pump starts count toward zone total.
Sensors and diagnostics: Supports up to 20 biSensor soil moisture sensors, up to 3 flow sensors/meters, and up to 3 temperature sensors; built‑in display reports device and BaseStation status.
Communication options: Built‑in Ethernet port for direct network connection; compatible with Baseline Wi‑Fi modules and Ethernet radio modules (requires BL‑ER‑C gateway and optional repeater for extended range).
Two‑wire and power: Fully compatible with Baseline two‑wire run lengths and decoder families; station output is 30 VAC RMS with support for typical solenoid inrush/holding currents and up to 1.45 A output.
Enclosure choices: Available in powder‑coated metal wall mount (X), 304‑grade stainless wall mount (XS), or 304‑grade stainless pedestal (P); sizes and material options suit interior/exterior and high‑corrosion sites.
Installation and reliability: Transformer input requires 120 VAC (50–60 Hz) and a 5 A breaker; security and surge protections are built into the controller boards for commercial reliability.
