Frequently Asked Questions

What are the physical dimensions of the Varia Medium accent light?
The medium Varia accent measures approximately 2.5" W x 3.5" H x 6" L. These compact dimensions make it suitable for both directional spotlighting and low-profile landscape installations.
How bright is the fixture and can I change the output?
Yes. The Varia has a Lumen Effects System with four selectable outputs—150, 300, 450, and 600 lumens—so you can tune brightness for scale and effect without swapping fixtures.
Is the Varia dimmable and what dimmer is recommended?
The fixture is PLC-dimmable and can dim smoothly from 100% down to 10% when used with the Kichler PLC dimmer (compatible models listed in Kichler documentation). This avoids flicker or flashing during dimming.
What installation voltage and environmental rating does this light require?
Varia operates on low-voltage 9–15V systems and carries an IP66 rating for protection against dust and powerful water jets, making it suitable for outdoor landscape applications.
Can I change the beam spread and color temperature in the field?
Yes. The head provides a continuous beam adjustment from 15° to 60° for focused spot or wide wash, and you can select 2700K or 3000K color temperature to match other lighting in the landscape.
