The CST FSI-T20-001 is a 2 in. PVC tee-mounted flow sensor engineered for irrigation, landscape and water-management systems. It produces a square-wave digital pulse proportional to flow and is compatible with most controller products, making it a reliable choice for monitoring and control applications.

  • Accurate measurement: Measures flow from 0.25 to 15 feet per second (FPS), roughly 3–160 GPM in 2 in. SDR21 PVC.
  • Rugged wetted materials: HDPE impeller, tungsten carbide shaft, BUNA‑N O‑ring, and Type 1 PVC tee, housing and retaining nut for corrosion resistance.
  • Electrical output: Square-wave pulse output with a frequency range of 0.3–200 Hz and a nominal 5 ms pulse width; standard two-conductor #18 AWG leads (48 in.) and signal extendable up to 2,000 ft.
  • Durable ratings: Working pressure up to 240 PSI and operating temperature range 32–140°F (0–60°C) for outdoor installations.
  • Service-friendly design: Molded mounting tee and threaded retaining nut simplify installation and removal from valve boxes.
  • Smart electronics: Processor-based detection and filtering reduce false counts and include over-voltage and over-current protection for longer life.

Designed for direct socket welding into PVC piping, the FSI-T20-001 installs best in a straight run with recommended straight lengths of pipe upstream and downstream to ensure accurate readings. Its standard output duplicates common impeller sensor signals and integrates easily with most irrigation controllers. For buried installations leave a service loop when splicing extension cable and provide access with a valve box or meter pit.

Frequently Asked Questions

What pipe size and flow range does this sensor support?
Designed for 2 in. PVC tee installations; measures about 0.25–15 FPS (≈3–160 GPM in 2 in. SDR21).
How is the sensor wired and how far can the signal travel?
Standard two-conductor #18 AWG leads (48 in.) are supplied; pulse signal can be extended up to 2,000 ft with direct-burial wiring.
What materials and ratings are used for wet components and pressure?
Wetted parts include an HDPE impeller and tungsten carbide shaft with a BUNA‑N O‑ring; working pressure is rated to 240 PSI.
