What Size Sprinkler Should I Order?

This is THE most commonly asked question in irrigation!

It is very important that you know how to measure your sprinklers so that you can order the correct size replacements. Look carefully at the photo above.

The size of a sprinkler is determined by the height of the stem - the part that pops up. The part that stays in the ground is called a canister and should NOT be measured to determine size.  Do NOT measure the entire sprinkler, either, meaning the canister and the pop-up. Measure ONLY the pop up part and that will tell you the size of your sprinkler.

Common Pop-Up Spray Sizes

• 2”
• 3”
• 4” - the most common in lawns
• 6”
• 12” - the most common in flower beds
